Maeklong Railway Market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

Wonderful experience with NocNoc Travel and Tours. One of our best days in Thailand was a private tour to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and Maeklong Railway Market. Our guide Nok spoke English very well and that made communication very easy. Every thing was well organized and well planned out. There was no waiting around or waisted time. The transportation was a large comfortable air conditioned van. Our driver drove safely trough the traffic and even provided waters for us. Our guide was an excellent photographer and knew all the best spots for photos. The coconut ice cream was a delicious treat. There were so many special moments on this tour. As three women traveling alone we appreciated how safe and comfortable we felt throughout the day. I hope to return to Bangkok again soon and take another tour with this company. Strongly recommend and worth every penny.

This was a fantastic tour, and I highly recommend it to all travelers. Nok, our guide was super kind, knowledgeable, and funny (and she spoke excellent English). She timed our tour so well, so that we arrived at the Railway Market with about 45 minutes to walk through and shop before the train came through. She secured us a front row location for when the train did come, and she took fantastic photos of our family. After this, we drove a short distance to the Floating Market boats. She took us through, suggested many delicious snacks and some very special shopping stalls, and gave us a lot of interesting information about Thailand. Book this tour - you won’t regret it!

Without question, one of the best tours I have been on. I cannot thank our wonderful guide Nok enough. She was the perfect guide and we throughly enjoyed our tour with 2 kids. We saw everything we wanted and all of us, especially our kids, had a blast seeing the train going through the market and the floating market. Thank you again Nok - we absolutely loved it!

Tip was an excellent guide, always kind and helpful, she offered me to taste several local typical foods and even gave me pomelo as gift before my departure. She was always availble to adjust the schedule to my personal needs. The tour was very well organized and allow me to experience both the railway and the foating market all in half day. We spent the day with Johnny and it was the best tour we've ever booked on Viator. Johnny and the driver met us at our hotel lobby and we drove to the railway market in a comfortable van. Once at the market, Johnny knew the exact spot where to stand to get the best view of the train. The weather was sweltering hot and he also knew where to get a cold drink. Afterwards we drove to the floating market and took a nice boat ride along the canals. Because it's a private tour, we were able to choose which stalls and vendors to stop at. Along the way Johnny treated us to some mango sticky rice, cold drinks, and fried bananas, and also us offered boat noodles, coconut pancakes, and coconut ice cream, all of which are included in the cost of the tour. Both in the railway market and the floating market Johnny knew a lot of the vendors and we even got a few discounts from them because they knew Johnny. By the end we were quite tired and we ended with lunch at a restaurant and headed back early. We had such a great experience and Johnny was great, very friendly and super helpful the entire time. He even gave us a recommended itinerary he made for places we should see in Bangkok the rest of our trip. Really very thoughtful and always went the extra mile. We are planning on booking with this tour group again for our trip. If you book this, ask for Johnny!

Poppy was wonderful! She listened to what was important to us. She was knowledgeable of the area too. We loved her dessert suggestions which were delicious and she took very nice pictures of our family as a bonus! It was a great experience!!

Nok was our guide and was very nice and funny. Her English is really good. Very knowledgeable and knows all the best places. She takes you great pictures throughout the tour as well. The driver so super polite too. The car with the AC was lovely. We wish we could have done more tours with Nok. Such a lovely lady

Was an amazing adventure! Highly recommend this private tour. Our guide, Poppy, made sure we were in the right place, helped us buy items at the market and made sure we had what we needed. She also provided street food, including items we wouldn’t have tried ourselves, Thai milk tea, coconut water, etc. i knew we’d have a guide but I didn’t know we’d also have a driver so we didn’t have to worry about parking - it was all very easy and stress free. The best part is the car arrived with the AC already going so the car was a joy to step in to. It is a very well run organization and you will love your experience!

Booked this tour in advance and everything went super smooth. Nok was very helpful answering all our concerns. Our guide was Cat and arrived just on time to pick us at the hotel. Everything unfolded just as described and Cat was super friendly and helpful, making us enjoy the best of the tour. Our driver also had very safe and cautious driving. Least positive thing was Bangkok's traffic jams, but there's no way to skip that!! Enjoyed a lot.

Great experience with Lin, our tour guide, excellent English. Communications were excellent kept in touch enquiring of tour to booking and meeting at reception. Both the driver & Lin were great company with good explanations of our trip to the railway market, coconut farm, and floating market. Plenty of photos taken. Would definitely recommend Lin 👌

The trip was very good from start to finish, our guide Oil was lovely, friendly and accommodating..supplying lots of information about the places we visited along with lots of refreshment along the way too and was happy for us to stop to browse at the markets whenever we wanted to.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with our tour guide Lin today from Guide Nok Minoz at the floating market and the railway market. From the moment we booked on Facebook, everything exceeded our expectations. The air-conditioned van was spacious and comfortable, providing a perfect escape from the Bangkok heat. Lin made sure we were well-hydrated with refreshing cold drinks throughout the tour. Lin’s friendly demeanor and deep knowledge of the local area truly made our trip memorable. Thanks to Lin’s connections with locals, we were able to bypass long queues and make the most of our time exploring the city. I cannot recommend Lin and Guide Nok Minoz highly enough for anyone visiting Bangkok. It was an unforgettable experience that we will remember forever with SO many photos that she took with her phone and airdropped at the end of the day. I went with Alex to the railway and floating market. I am a solo traveller and I found Alex very friendly, great company and made me feel comfortable. She bought me lots of sweet treats, that were included in the price. It was worth every penny and so nice to have a driver as the heat is a killer! Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Bangkok and considering doing a private guided tour.

Wonderful tour of Railway Market and Floating Market. Our tour guide, Cat, did a great job of explaining things to us and having us sample local food at the markets. As we had time, she added a stop at a coconut factory, which which was interesting. Our driver did a fine of handling Bangkok traffic.

We booked to go to the train market and floating market with Nok on our last day in Bangkok. The experience was fantastic and very vibrant. Nok is a great guide, she has a fantastic sense of humor and a lot of knowledge. I would highly recommend booking with Nok, we enjoyed every moment!! Oh, and you have to try the coconut ice-cream!!

Fantastic trip to the train and floating markets. Nok went above and beyond to make the trip a truly memorable experience. Nok is very friendly and so easy to spend the day with. She went out of her way to show us other things in the area as we had time. She met us in the lobby of the hotel on the morning and was a good 10 mins early and we were ready so off we went and she told us that we were actually catching "the train " which was a bonus! Thank you guide Som and organizer, Nok! We thoroughly enjoyed our magnificent day outside of Bangkok!!! Our wonderful guide, Som and a driver met us in a comfortable air conditioned minivan at our hotel promptly at pre-arranged 9AM. As soon as we were rolling, Som concisely outlined our day and even gave us the option to add an elephant ride to our itinerary - we took her up on the offer and had a fun experience at an outfit very near the floating market. Our driver then dropped us off at a dock area on one of the waterways. We enjoyed some fresh coconut water and then boarded our long boat for a ride through the floating market and palm tree forest. There were many vendors lining the edges of the canal and we were afforded the opportunity to chose where we wished to stop and look at wares, We were quite pleased to be able to buy a few beers along the way (don’t pay more than 100 Bhat!). We ultimately arrived at The Market itself and disembarked to walk through the land based stalls. Som was very patient and never rushed us as we zig zagged through the various parts of the market. We elected not to dine in the Floating Market area (we just were not hungry yet!). Our driver met us again and we set off to the nearby Railway Market. We strolled along the track looking at sellers of fresh fish, interesting foods and beautiful fruit. There were also plenty of souvenir stalls. It was a fun stroll and we had plenty of time to take it all in before Som guided us to a special trackside restaurant with local cuisine. We enjoyed a fantastic meal while we waited for the train to come through. It was all very exciting! Watching the vendors fold up their awnings and wares seconds before the train rolled through was a sight to see. When the train did come by, we felt like we were waving to excited travelers on the Hogwarts Express 😜. All in all, a GREAT DAY OUT! Thank you for your guidance, Som. It was a really good experience! We went to the railway and floating markets. Good driver and wonderful guide Nok Nok. Everything is included: water, little things to eat (local), fresh towels to wash our hands and of course happiness, fantastic time! I'll recommend Nok Nok, she really take care of you and your family ❤️

We shared two amazing days with Katie who adapted the tours to suit my families needs. Katie has a wealth of knowledge on Bangkok as well as having good English understanding. On day 1 . Katie took us to the floating market and railway market and helped us friendly barta with locals and ensured we had the best time. Included in the package was transportation which was essential for my little boy. Katie provided cold bottles of water and encouraged us to try traditional Thai foods which was delicious. On day 2 . Katie took us on a river boat to get the best view of the temples. Then we visited the temples and China town. Katie organized my mother to have a wheelchair as she has a bad knee and pushed her around. Katie took photos of us and treated us like family and did her upmost to ensure our stay in Bangkok was one to remember. By booking with Katie, we saw and experienced parts of the Thailand cultural/ traditions which we would not been able to arrange ourselves. We are so grateful. Thank you.

We were met by Nok in the lobby of our hotel at 9am and she was instantly likable, so warm, friendly and funny. She made sure we’d all had our coffees, and then introduced us to our driver (also great) and then we set off to view the Railway and Floating markets. Nok gave us an insight into the City of today and the history of the previous capitals of Thailand (Siam). Throughout the day, she was fantastic and definitely one of the best guides we’ve ever had. I can very highly recommend Nok for your exciting days in Bangkok and surround.

NocNoc went way beyond what she needed to, to make this a perfect day. She guided us through the day at our own pace, which was to me, very important because I hate overbearing, route marching guides! I have to thank her for making my family very welcome with a nice smile and with me, a lot of patience was needed! 😃

We were picked up promptly at 9am from our hotel by the lovely & knowledgeable Nok for our crazy Boxing Day experience. There were plenty of loo/drink stops on the hour long journey to the Maeklong Railway Market. Had a wander up the tracks and did some shopping - great selection of goods from chicken feet to glitzy jewellery! Plenty of warning as the train rumbles slowly down the track as the stall holders pack away their goods (they do this 16 times a day 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣)! All unscathed we got back in the minibus for a 10 minute journey to the Damnoensaduak Floating Market! Our group of 8 had 2 long tail boats which zoomed along the river passing locals houses, market stalls and the odd monitor lizard basking in the sun. It was crazily busy on the day we went but still enjoyable and would definitely recommend. On the way back to the hotel we stopped for lunch which was about £8 per person. Nok is very friendly and knowledgeable and goes out of her way to ensure a great day. We got back to the hotel at around 18:00 - exhausted! Thank you!

Nok is a wonderful tour guide! I booked this private tour for our 1st day in Thailand and we were not disappointed! She was very professional, arrived, early for hotel pick up and was very informative during the tour. She even took a ton of pictures for us! Guide Nok was absolutely wonderful. She met us at our hotel and was 1 hour early. She messaged us the day before so we knew what to expect and were great with communicating. During our day with her, she shared the coolest things with us and took us to the best spots. She was such a professional and really went above and beyond to make the experience great for us.
